Public housing, an interesting subject of cultural Heritage.

The growth of the City Bandung (west Java) in the 1920s was tremendous, a number of Governmental services were replaced from Batavia (Jakarta) to Bandung and there was a great shortage on dwelling houses and in particular public housing. There was a period, the City of Bandung owned its own building company, they built several public housing projects; nowadays after more than 90 years, still we may find here and there some remained. Not as a protected monument but it just survived.

Jakarta: Immanuel church, the former Willemskerk, built in 1835; located in the 19th century area 'Weltevreden', the present 'Jakarta Pusat'. Nowadays, conservation plans are made up to bring the building and surroundings in a flourishing condition again.
